TYPOGRAPHY PALETTE

The best typography looks great, has versatile capabilities, and works well with others – just like the employees responsible for HGL’s success. 

The collection of typefaces curated for HGL are elegant and utilitarian. They have been selected for their ability to convey information clearly and include a variety of weights, styles, and characters for every need. 

PRIMARY SANS SERIF

HGL Montserrat is a geometric, sans-serif typeface that is highly legible, includes a variety of weights and has a large set of characters. It is an excellent font for all purpose use, including HGL’s templates for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. This font has been customized exclusively for HGL and is only available here.

PRIMARY SERIF

A contemporary, serif typeface designed to ease on-screen and long-format reading. Newsreader works equally well for text and headings and has a number of font styles. This font was chosen to complement and contrast the sans-serif fonts in the typography palette.

PRO SANS SERIF

This award-winning, modern, sans-serif typeface is highly legible, and includes a variety of weights and a large system of characters which make it suitable for all-purpose use. It is recommended for all professionally designed HGL materials. Fieldwork is available with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription through Adobe Fonts, or can be purchased at TipoType.com.

DISPLAY FONT

This slightly rounded condensed sans-serif typeface was inspired by the utilitarian lettering of highway signage. Barlow is best used for headlines, call-outs, and information graphics. It is not recommended for body copy or large areas of text.
